Christy Barritt: Afterglow

4 Stars Out Of 5

“Rachel Stewart felt herself falling. Falling. Air surrounded her. Air and darkness and nothingness. And fear.”

“Her past sins could be forgiven . . . couldn’t they?”

“This beautiful afterglow in the wake of their wedding would fade to black.”

Christy Barritt churns out another well written tale of suspense with the Lantern Beach setting. Although this one takes place during a couple’s honeymoon, the romance in this book is almost non-existent which is more than fine by me. I found some parts pretty predictable, though one aspect was definitely unseen by me and helped make this a 4-star instead of 3-star book. This is a super fast paced read with all the classic Christy Barritt elements: Beach setting, edge of your seat suspense, interesting characters (though they could have been a little more developed), cliffhanger chapters, and of course, someone is bound and gagged! Recommended for those of us who read all things Christy Barritt and Lantern Beach.
