Another solid entry for the Lantern Beach PD series. This one felt a little different from others as it dealt with a massive food poisoning that lead to a death as opposed to some of the other wats death has arrived on the island. Although different, I thought it was a good premise. Did someone poison a large group of people to try and rig the election? Is Anthony Gilead behind it? Who knows Cassidy’s secrets? How does Ty know Gilead from his Navy SEAL days? Will Moriah flee from Gilead’s Cove? All good questions that Christy Barritt either answers or shows promises that she will answer soon. The only thing that kept this from being a 5 star book was that I figured it out (I think I should be police chief!). And yes, another mention of Cassidy sniffing her husband’s spicy cologne and getting weak at the knees. 🤦🏻♂️
