“God never called His people to be happy. Instead, He told them they’d face troubles but to find joy in the middle of those storms. God never called his people to worry about their needs being met. He told them He would meet their needs and to go meet the needs of others.”
“People wanted to think that following Jesus meant life would somehow be more blessed—and it was. But not in a worldly sense. The rain still came, bringing with it the seasons of sorrow. God was there to walk believers through those times.”
This was a good romantic suspense book but was pretty light on the mystery part. The third book in the Lantern Beach Romantic Suspense series and I guessed the villains in all 3! But this one did have a few really nice twists along the way to make me think a few times I was wrong...but in the end I was right. And speaking of the ending, it did get pretty mushy and over the top; but maybe you’re into that! I liked that it took place during Christmas. And I guess Wes is not finding true love in Lantern Beach any time soon. Well, onto the Lantern Beach PD series!
