D.L. Wood perfectly blends together mystery and suspense with just the right amount of romance and spirituality. The book never ventures into the over-the-top romance that is not believable; instead she paints a picture of two broken people attracted to each other that realistically draw towards each other throughout the book. As far as the spirituality of the book, D.L. Wood never gets preachy; instead, she gives us realistic conversations that many of us have had at one point or other in our lives. And while "Unintended Target" gives us both romance and spirituality, it is at its core an edge of your seat thriller where you like and root for the main characters. You will enjoy the mystery as well as the settings/locations of the novel. I will admit, though, that was one thing I did not find believable...that this was D.L. Wood's first novel. I eagerly await the next book from this up-and-coming writer.
