“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in time of trouble.”
“God’s promise is that He’ll provide the strength we need at the time we need it. And He’ll ultimately guide us through it.”
“We all choose the brand of misery that makes us happiest.”
Another solid medical thriller from Dr. Richard L Mabry. This one has a lot going on. DEA agents, a mother in a coma, a father with a medical scare now contemplating suicide, people held at gunpoint, hit and runs, arson, murder, and much more. I enjoyed the various medical cases and especially enjoyed the relationship of Dr Caden Taggert and his wife Beth. I found them believable, relatable, and likable. Guarded Prognosis had a great mystery component with plenty of red herrings to keep you guessing along the way. And most importantly, Mabry weaves in aspects of faith in God, trusting Him in all things, and patience through trials.
